Each day a little easier.
Learning to read is a magical time in a child's life. Letters that were once squiggles on a page suddenly transform into letters with sounds and words with meanings.
Each page greeting new friends.
One day, Mac and Pam and Dot and Sam will be old friends, and she will meet new ones--Ender Wiggin, Laura Ingalls, Harry Potter, Scarlett O'Hara.
Each book a new treasure to devour.
Each with the same conclusion--The End.
This is just the beginning.
except when you have adhd, and then it's not magical, it's painful, but it's such a celebration when you see them do it b/c you knew they could. i'm hoping there's more magic when max learns to read b/c brennan reading is just downright painful. agh!
