I’d like to call this meeting to order.
Thank you. All
members present? Good.
First item of business today: Yes, the Sanatorium is
undergoing a complete overhaul—a renovation from the ground up. I would like to
thank the muscle behind the scenes, Kara from Life with Fingerprints. She’s an
awesome designer (and my friend), and she’s finally hooking up everything around here the way it should have been in the first place. It’s only taken me five years . . .
You might have noticed that my blog address has changed. It
should automatically route you from www.bjdentonfamily.blogspot.com to
www.dentonsanatorium.com, but if it doesn't, note the change. I'm excited for everything she's doing and how it's taking shape. My kids have been complaining about the outdated pictures, and we've added three people to our family since the last update. Yeah. It was time.
All those in favor of the new changes, say aye. I heard you! Those opposed, keep it to yourself please.
Second item of business: I've decided to host the fitness challenge again! Go here if you're interested in competing with us. I've changed up the rules a little bit, so if you were hesitant to participate last time (I won't mention any names, but you know who you are!), go take a look. You may want to this time.
All those in favor of the new challenge, say aye. Those opposed, please return to your salt and vinegar chips and oreos.
Third and final item of business: As I've been looking back through my blog, I've come across some of my favorite old posts/series. It's been fun for me to reread what I wrote and your comments. Thanks for being my friends, people. I realized that it has been 2 1/2 years since I last answered questions about being a Mormon--a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints--and I thought it was time I opened it up for questions again. I'd love to hear from you and explain what we believe. Leave a comment on this post, and I will answer questions next week.
All those in favor (or with questions), say aye. Those opposed, you may leave a comment and I'll get back to you.
That concludes our non-annual meeting of the Denton Sanatorium. You are excused to your regular lives. Thanks for your time.
Meeting adjourned until an unspecified date in the future.
It looks GREAT! Good on ya.
ReplyDeleteI'm trying not to take the salt & vinegar chips and Oreos comment personally. ;)
ReplyDeleteI've been wondering for awhile how to change from blogspot to .com.... guess I should look it up.
That comment was directed more at your husband, not you, pregnant lady. Pregnant ladies always get a pass to eat whatever and whenever they want! It's one of your rights!
ReplyDeleteIf you want help changing over, let me know.
I thought it was directed to me...hmmm!
ReplyDeletegreat meeting! thanks!
ReplyDeleteAYE!!!;)
ReplyDeleteHi Jenny, I've never commented before but found your blog last year and positively LOVE it! I read the whole thing from beginning to end when I was on bed rest with my now four month old. Thank you for the hours of entertainment and inspiration you provided me with!! I do have a question about the LDS faith. From what I’ve seen (mostly through reading blogs and a handful of friends from childhood) Mormans tend to have very speeds courtships and engagements. Is this something that is encouraged by the church or has this just happened to be the case for those I have known? I hope you don’t in any way take this as critical because I really am just curious! Being Catholic, my husband and I had to wait 12 months and complete several marriage preparation classes before we could be married in the church so I was curious if there are similar guidelines in your faith. Again, thank you so much for sharing your family with us every day. As a mama to four (who hopes for more) you are definitely one of my role models!
ReplyDeleteI am so on board!
ReplyDeleteChange is kind of a pain, but so much fun.
=)
