I pulled that joke on my blog four years ago. It was true. I don't think my mom has quite forgiven me yet.
No. We weren't expecting a new baby. But we've been expecting a new son from . . .
He arrived this week.
His name is James (Jah-mez) and he is awesome. He will be staying with us until May 12 (the Saturday before Tucker comes home), going to school and playing rugby and doing all things American like going to Tilly's and eating at Sonic (two items already checked off his list).
We love him already.
Have a great weekend. There's a big race here tomorrow, in case you haven't heard.
I am on my way to pick up my bib right now. 13.1 miles seems so much longer when you're running it through your own neighborhood. In fact, the race is passing less than a quarter mile from our front door. I hope to see my kiddos out there cheering for me!

I love FaceTime. I got to meet his mama, and he got to talk to his family as long as we wanted.

Sounds like you have some serious fun happening at your house.
ReplyDeleteGood luck with the run!
Sounds like fun.
And how is it possible that your missionary is coming home already??? That time flew!
ReplyDeleteExcept for maybe his mama.
AAhhh, I'll have to come bask in his accent. I totally should not have come back from there. Good luck on your run!!
ReplyDeleteFun! Good luck!!!
ReplyDeleteWelcome from another kiwi - now you now how I sound! Where in NZ is he from? I'm sure he will be educating you as well as you educating him! Have a great stay James. Cath
ReplyDeleteHave fun with James. We have had such good experiences with each of our exchange students!
ReplyDeleteA gal from my ward ran that marathon...small world.
ReplyDeleteGood luck on your run! I would love to be able to do something like that, but since I can't, enjoy it for the both of us.
ReplyDeleteLots of fun at your house now! Enjoy the new "son" and before you know it, Tucker will be home!
Hope the run went well! I am jealous you have the weather for it at this time of year!! I'm sure you did great!
