I'm linking up again this week to the 2012 Review Extravaganza. I love how the time I take reviewing my blog from the last year reinforces to me how important blogging is to help me remember our lives. Thanks for hosting, ladies!
Brad caved, and we bought a new Suburban. Happy day for me!
I posted Lily's and Ben's birth stories.
And Ben got his Eagle Scout award.
Brad captured this shot of Evie . . .
. . . and I captured Hyrum and the caterpillar, some of my favorite shots all year.
I went to sixth grade Science Camp with Lily.
Tucker called for Mother's Day. Hearing his voice on this clip reminded me how long it's been since we've spoken with him, how much I miss hearing his belly laugh, and how close Christmas Day is--when we can talk to him again.
Just after Mother's Day was Tucker's birthday, so I shed a few more tears when I wrote about him joining our family.
And I posted a three-part series (here, here, and here) outlining my biggest lessons learned from the 2011-12 school year.
We hosted a local episode of Chopped! and I had a run-in with a scorpion.
Micah turned eight, so I remembered my long pregnancy and his birth, along with marking his baptism.
I debated about writing about Angelo, but in the end, I included a post about my fifth son on his fifth birthday, June 23.
And then, just like that, my four youngest kids and I embarked on the greatest adventure ever--we drove 2762 miles across the country to paradise . . .
. . . . Wyalusing, Pennsylvania, where we spent three glorious, memory-filled, once-in-a-lifetime weeks.
Just the picture of our little grey house takes me back to that fantastic time in our year. Can't wait till next week!

I let the world see a little of what I had been struggling with for months--losing sight of me.I went to sixth grade Science Camp with Lily.

You've had quite a year, friend! It's exciting to see what the next year will bring us, yes? Two things for me: we'll have 2 new grand babies - Rex and Ronna are due in July, and Tim and Autumn will have their first in August. It's going to be busy! Merry Christmas to you and your family.
ReplyDeleteHoly cow, you've been busy! You & your husband got some great photos too! And how awesome for the Eagle Scout Award!!
ReplyDeleteOh you will get to talk with your son again in one week! How exciting! Do you get to Skype or just talk on the phone? The sisters serving in our ward are going to be able to Skype. My oldest got baptized this year :). How fun to have a three week vacation! Great recap
ReplyDeleteYou're good at these recaps!
