If you live in Arizona, you're playing softball.
It's just starting to get light at 5 am, so just as the sun rises the boys walk out onto the field. For three mornings in a row, they sacrifice their sleep to play ball. Why?
It may be 5:30 am, but it's still almost 80 degrees. That's why.
And that's why we only play three days, because if we waited until the end of June, it would be almost 90 degrees at 5:30 am. And who wants to be out then?

Makes sense to me!
ReplyDelete(Those are some dedicated baseball players...)
=)
I so do not miss Arizona summers. Not even a little bit.
ReplyDeleteI'll relish our Colorado Summers while you'll relish your AZ winters. lol
The fact that your boy is willing to get up so early to play ball says alot! He must LOVE baseball!
Wow! 5:30 am really?
ReplyDeleteI suppose it's like Palm Springs, where I used to live, we would wake up at 6:30 or 7:00 am and jump right into the pool.
Right now where I live it's in the 50's at night & 70's during the day - I call that perfect. Sorry, but as much as I'd like to someday visit Arizona - it is way too hot for me to live there!
ReplyDeleteI'm a little jealous.
ReplyDeleteOK I'm a lot jealous.
Yesterday it was 93.
Today it was 44.
We are supposed to freeze tonight so I've been out in my garden with blankets and sheets to cover my corn and cukes and all those tender veggies.
Ya, I'm jealous.
That is CRAZY! It's 47 degrees at8:00 am here in cozy Utah. We have a baseball game tonight, and we'll probably be complaining that it's too cold. Weird.
ReplyDeleteI had no idea it got that hot so early. We have the light but not the heat.
ReplyDeleteDana
It doesn't even start to get light here in the summer until 6 or 6:30am. I can't imagine it being that hot that early in the morning. Wow! I was thinking it was good that it's only 3 days...because of having to get up so early!
