Ben's Big Weekend

You only turn sixteen once.  Lots of ice cream and soda and friends and screaming and laughing and teasing.  Saturday was a fun and late night around here.

On Sunday, Ben was ordained a priest in the Aaronic Priesthood by his dad (for an explanation on the priesthood, click here).  Then, directly after his ordination, Ben was officially declared an Eagle Scout, after almost a year tying up all the loose ends from his Eagle project and its paperwork.
We were so happy Grandpa Tucker could make it down for the weekend.

I'm so happy that's all finished.  What a great weekend.  Now both older boys are taller than Dad--here's proof.
Can you see Micah in the last picture?  Me too.  Little stinker.

    Micah has been taking lessons from LaMar - he loves to get into other people's photos and do the rabbit ears behind them.

    Is there anything more satisfying and humbling, all at once, than having one's children step up new responsibility as they approach adulthood. Congratulations!
