Change Is in the Air

Look for something new today!

And it's not Evie's potty training.  After two days of NEVER using the potty, I whipped her back into a diaper.  Both of us are much happier now.  Maybe I'll try again in a month.  I wouldn't have started yet if I hadn't retrieved her from her nap and she was stark naked (even missing hairbows), standing next to a puddle and a pile.

  1. Yep, I always liked to wait until they were really ready. that made things easy.

  2. I cannot remember a thing about potty training. Although I think I would have remembered a pile : )
If you can't beat them... and all that.

  3. My mother-in-law seems to have blocked out potty training completely. I've asked her for tips on potty training my kids and she just says, "oh, that was SO long ago!" I've put kids back in diapers more than once. Sometimes it's not worth the fight that you'll have right then. Good luck next time!

  4. Yipes! I remember doing the same thing and decided that it was not the time. I tried again in a month and it went much better.
Funny thing about that now...I walk passed the diaper isle in Target now and feel kind of melancholy. Not necessarily for diapers, but that that stage of my life is over. It sounds really silly to say it, but enjoy those diapers a little longer.

  7. Sigh. Yes, this is fresh in my mind. Why? Because I just finished training my last baby. Sigh. Never again....I hope. Good luck.

  8. oh boy. My husband is trying to convince me to potty-train our 2yo son before our cruise next month so he can swim on the ship's pool.

I think both my son and I are buckling under that pressure. He's not ready. I'm not ready. I hear you, sister!
