When Evie was silent for ten minutes on Saturday, I knew she'd fallen asleep somewhere. This is where Lily found her.
I flashed back to finding Lily asleep on the stairs, just like this, when she was about that age, so I spent over an hour yesterday trying to find the picture. Couldn't find it. That's what happens when you were born BD (before digital). I did find this one of her asleep at lunchtime.
Even Lily had more hair at this age than Evie. Hopefully one day, right?
And no, I don't make it a habit of allowing my children to get so tired that they just fall asleep anywhere.

those stairs look awfully cozy. I could probably fall asleep on them, too.
ReplyDeletei wish my kids would do that. or at least sleep at night, b/c lately they haven't been doing that. it's not pretty around here.
ReplyDeleteI'm just glad she's not a roller. That would have been an awful way to be woken up : )
ReplyDeleteDana
Jen do you have an email address somewhere on your blog and I'm missing it?
ReplyDeleteDana
So cute, Jen! I've got one of Bryce asleep on the stairs. In fact, it's listed in my Extravaganza Review today. If you want to look at that post, it's called "The Sandman Strikes Again!" or some such thing.
ReplyDeletePretty adorable stuff.
=)
What is it about sleeping children that makes you want to take their picture? We loved doing that.
ReplyDeleteI can't believe she can fall asleep on the stairs!! She must have been so tired! Evie and Lilly look so much alike!
ReplyDeletea girls gotta do what a girls gotta do and sometimes that means finding a cozy spot to rest!
ReplyDeleteadorable!
ok, that is hilarious - i had friends whose tots who could (and would) fall asleep just about anywhere ... neither of mine could ever do it, and boy did i ever need it sometimes :(
ReplyDeleteHa ha ha ! That is so funny. I have a pic of my grandaughter Lily crashed in her Baby Einstein. Played her self out.~Ames
ReplyDeleteI love how when we're kids we can sleep anywhere, and we do, but as we get older you can't anymore :(
ReplyDeleteDarling! I love the way kids can sleep anywhere and in any position!
ReplyDeleteIf only we could keep that as adults.
Hope your December is going great!
P.S. Brittany's cerclage has been great. She gets to see the Dr. each week and get a shot of Progesterone (I think). Such a process but she is over the moon being able to see the baby each week in an ultrasound.
That is priceless!
ReplyDeleteThey are little twins at that age!
Ya, there is a picture of my 3rd child I've been trying to find BD and I'm so frustrated that I can't.
His second son is a clone. When I look at that little grandson it takes my breath away. It's like looking at his daddy!
I love Evie's pink Converse. :)
ReplyDeleteAnd such a cute picture of Lily! That must have been the age when both you and I were "mom." Miss you guys!!! I have two more finals... Then I'll call to talk for awhile! :)
So cute!
ReplyDeleteI remember many years ago my little 3 year old brother was missing. We looked EVERYWHERE. Finally my mom called the police in a panic. They came right out and found him asleep in one of our closets! We had even looked there but he was so covered in blankets we missed him. :)
i agree with ur title...i just picked myself up off the floor from a 'nap' i told lily we were playing babies and blankets...hey when ur tired ur tired...(i wonder why?!)
ReplyDeletethat's like my kate and lily...kate had more hair and it was more contained....lily's is a hot mess
sweet precious photo of the girls sleeping
There's just something so sweet about little ones that go and go and go. Until they can't anymore and they fall asleep in the mashed potatoes.
ReplyDeleteSo cute :) I wish Ellie could do the same. She's not a big sleeper unfortunately.
