Foto Friday--Pictures Can Lie

This is the photo of today:
And it was the only smidgen of a minute where there was peace at the Sanatorium today.

Lots of fighting.  Crying.  Complaining.  Avoiding. Refusing.  Lazing.

And one broken picture--I may or may not have completely lost my cool with that one.

Here's to a better weekend.

Now if I could just get a picture of me that would lie, in a  flattering way . . . .

Post-script:
Anyone familiar with Port Washington, NY?
Just got a missionary letter from there.  Google Earth it. It looks gorgeous.

  4. I admit it...I'm just about ready to start buying school supplies...just knowing there's an 8 hour day of peace and quiet ahead of me, makes me giddy.

  5. Some days are like that. I well remember. But you have the picture to remind you that it's not ALWAYS like that.

And Port Washington? It's beautiful. Your missionary is seeing a lovely part of the country.

  7. 4-6 pm is my favorite.

my favorite time to hide in my bathroom or leave the kids and go get myself ice cream.

  8. Love the picture :) I just love how much everyone has grown just over this summer! Especially Evie! I see that her hair is starting to get a little longer on the back :)

I hope the weekend went better for you :)

  9. WOW! I have soo many fun memories of summer, but I've never thought (until I had kids of my own) what it was like for my poor mom. Although I actually don't remember every really being inside during the summer. My kids act like I'm torturing them when I tell them to play outside because it's soooo hot -- then I tell them to go look up the temperature in Missouri and add humidity to that and then come back to me with their sob story ...

Of course, they just look at me and say, "HUH?" How do you explain humidity to a 4 y/o? LOL

  10. So glad to hear it's not just happening at our house. Summer sure does have it's up and downs. I don't want to always sound like a drill sergeant, but I'm also not the summer maid and cook. Tip for good mama pics. Have the kids stand on the couch and take your shot, a much kinder angle : )
