A mom and her guys. What to do when Dad takes the girls?
This was hard, because I have two pairs of boys--older and younger. I thought about it, and what could all four of them do together?
They assigned us to a six-year-old's birthday party, which was perfect for the little boys. I took Ben and Tucker aside and told them that if they didn't win this game, I would be seriously disappointed with them.
They didn't disappoint me (except for the crazy faces in the pictures--and that wasn't too surprising).
After Hyrum chose dinner at McDonald's, I found a babysitter for the two little boys and took the two big boys to a big boy flick--"Thor." Liked it. And Chris Hemsmeyer? HoooEeee.

Of course! Guns! Hyrum and Micah didn't know such a magnificent exciting place even existed. What joy filled their little eyes as we explained what we'd be doing.

My boys love laser tag. I'm sure that was a big hit!

Your Hoohee made me smile. I did a Hoohee during American Idol when Tim McGraw came out to sing. A schoolgirl crush... the girls thought I was crazy. I said... what? I'm not dead you know... plus he reminds of of The Agronomist : )

How fun!
ReplyDeleteLaser tag is a blast! May have to take grandkids this summer and give it a whirl...
How nice to let the girls go with Dad so that you could enjoy some mother and son time. It is precious. I only had three boys...always wanted a girl but it was not to be. They are great sons, though - all now adults, the oldest one 40, he "baby" is 26.

ReplyDeleteI only enjoyed Thor because of my intellectual curiosity re: mythology.
ReplyDeleteI just had pics made with my girls, I've taken them to the beach, but I'm at a loss of what to do with the boys other than let their father take over. You win the great mommy award!
ReplyDeleteAh ha!!! We must add this to our summer list. They are still too young for paint ball...and that really hurts too. Love this!
ReplyDeletehe's better looking in star trek. which you could win for free! and if you were lucky you could win a dvd and a gift card. or luckier still, a dvd and TWO gift cards. wouldn't that be grand?
ReplyDeleteOh yes.. boys + weapons = success. My boys would have been all over that!
