This is the summer I've vowed to teach a stronger work ethic with my kids. This week, it was teaching the little boys to wash the Suburban.
It started out fun, but then, like most kids, they realized I'd suckered them into work with what sounded like play.
But it's washed (not clean, but washed enough that someone can't write "just married" on the back window any more), and I have photo evidence.
This last shot has to be one of my all-time favorites. I lucked into it, and I wish I knew how to duplicate it.
Have a perfect summer weekend--bbq, lemonade, and some playtime!

that last shot is AMAZING!
ReplyDeleteOh Jen, the last one is so beautiful. Just having the camera around allows for these wonderful surprises. I'd say most great shots are 90% luck. I need to figure out teaching some work ethic around here for summer as well.

It's awesome that you could sucker them in so easily. My kids caught on pretty fast.
ReplyDeleteThat last shot is great. He does look like the epitome od overworked and sad.
Great last shot! have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteWe used to LOVE to wash cars. I guess our dad suckered us in, too!
ReplyDeleteGreat pics, especially that last one...
=)
i've learned that luck has so much to do with great shots ... and indeed that last shot is amazing!!
ReplyDeleteThat really IS a great picture. Don't you love it when you get a great shot? (Even better if you know how you did it)
ReplyDeleteMy 7 year old wanted to wash the suburban last week. Since he's short and the suburban is tall, it was me that washed most of it, but at least he did wash.
ReplyDeleteTry getting him to clean his room, though. Ugh.
