I have been the recipient of a few worried emails the last two days at my sudden disappearance from cyberspace. I'm sorry if I've alarmed anyone.
But in my defense:
Early last week, we got a call from Tucker. And in that phone call, he expressed his first twinge of homesickness--the first time he'd even admitted missing us at all. This strums a mother's heart unlike any other request.
Since Friday marked the beginning of October break, I mobilized the troops, and we all headed to Utah for a few days. Heidi and Sam came down from Rexburg, and we spent a leisurely few days away from computers and internet and blogging and responsibilities.
And we enjoyed being together.
Sorry if my sudden disappearance caused undue alarm or concern. I was hanging in Provo, loving my kiddos, loving the gorgeous fall weather and loving BYU football (for the first time this season).
I promise to answer emails, questions, concerns, even a tag from England quickly.
Oh.
I almost forgot.
And I found out that I'm going to be a grandma.
That will require a post all its own.
Brought to you by the letter D at Jenny Matlock's Alphabe-Thursday.
Awwww it's so sweet when they realize that they really miss home and family!!

Congratulations to your daughter and her husband and to you and your husband on the new baby to be!! Exciting!!
It was so fun to hear the news of your impending grandmotherhood. I watched the little video that Sam made of telling the family the news. I LOVED Tucker's reaction. You are absolutely right. The fall weather right now couldn't be better. Hope you all had a good time.

ReplyDeleteWoo Hoo! Being a grandma is so fabulous! I love my kids but my grandbaby is just different. You will only understand when it happens. It is kinda like when you are pregnant with your second child and feel sorry for them because you know you can't love them like your first - bwahahaha!!
ReplyDeleteI never said Thank you for bringing that bag of stuff. Sorry the chips caused such trauma! It really would not have been that big a deal. Having you all over was the highlight of my week.
