That brings back some good memories...not so much watching my kids play, because I was always afraid they'd get creamed...but just the sound of the crowd and the smell of fall in the air. We always went to the football games...and sometimes, we still do!
Thank you thank you!!! My fourth grade teacher wrote the most incredible email back to me yesterday. What a treasure! Turns out she is still teaching...35 years in the district, and has a daughter adopted from China. So fun to connect with her, and I hope to meet her and her daughter the next time we head out East. So...thank you for that little nudge two days ago! Send me your address to my email mjcljohnson@yahoo.com so I can send you some happy mail!!
At this time of year I sometimes think back to high school September afternoons and watching my (now) brother in law on the field. It's been decades since I last watched a football game - not the same at all on TV.

ReplyDeleteIt looks so easy for Ben. Maybe I won't have to worry about him getting hurt.
