Where is this, you ask?
No Arizona sky ever looked like this. Not to mention the mountains.
No parking most places close to anything important.
This is a clue. Do you recognize the guy in the orange shirt?
Here's another shot:
Not the best picture, but I really tried to take these shots without Tucker noticing, since he's at work (the candy counter at BYU!)
Yes, I'm in Provo for the next few days. These are the three days every year that I spend teaching EFY--Especially For Youth--a program for the teens of our Church (click here for a description). It is truly one of the joys of my life.
And as an added bonus, I get to see Tucker! And tomorrow night I'm making bac'n mac and chocolate chip cookies for his apartment.
These few days are always refreshing for me--taking time to do something that is me--not Mom me, not Wife me, not Daughter or Friend me. Just me.
With a little Mom thrown in tomorrow night.
I might be hanging out at BYU the next few days. Then maybe I will run into you!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteOh EFY is super awesome. I loved it. Have a good time.
ReplyDeleteWhat a treat for you - and for your Tucker and his apartment mates. Have fun!
ReplyDeleteTeaching at EFY? I want to hear more! I only got to go once growing up, but LOVED it! How fun that your son (I think) works at the bookstore candy counter. I just saw your comment at cjanes blog and had to hop over. You look much too young to have a college student, and your family is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI love the casual, don't notice me taking pictures. I can just picture you doing that! Looks like a FUN job & I love that you teach EFY. Can't wait to hear all about it. I'll be thinking about you tomorrow-and praying for you.
ReplyDeletewelcome to provo! if you have any extra cookies...oh who am i kidding. of course you won't have any extra chocolate chip cookies--you're cooking for an apartment full of guys!
ReplyDeleteOh, please tell me that you had some of their fudge when you were there. Oh, I love BYU. My old stompig grounds. Only I cleaned bathrooms when I was there...not the bookstore. He scored on that one for sure!
ReplyDeleteVery fun! I love those beautiful mountains!!
ReplyDeleteWish I could be there to take in one of your EFY sessions!
ReplyDelete=)
Enjoy your "Just You" time.

ReplyDeletewhat do you teach? so interesting.
ReplyDeleteand the CANDY COUNTER? He will meet too many ladies working there!
Oh man! if I had known you were going, I would have hitched a ride for my daughter instead of driving her up tomorrow morning... Oh well, maybe we will see you there!
ReplyDeleteSuch a beautiful setting - wow! Hope you enjoy every minute of your 'me' time, you deserve it!!

ReplyDeleteJenny, I'm driving to Provo every day, I could swing by and say hello if you have time to meet me. Or you could come here!
