This and That and the Other Thing

I wish I could explain these three pictures.
This is how my vase looks:
I love the shape and the pattern.
But when the light hits it just right, currently about 7 pm, it does this:
and this:
Indulge me. I thought it was cool.

    OoooooOOOoooooh! Don't you love how light and certain types of glass play off each other? That's where the artistry and chemistry of the glass comes in.

    Really cool! The last picture looks like when you're melting glass and it gets really hot on the ends! Great pics!
