In case you missed it in the comments yesterday, my daughter Heidi came out of hiding and told the Statue of Liberty story. Tomorrow, look for a wrap-up of the week, including answers to your questions.
And if you need a few more hundred photos to peruse, Brad just received a blurb book in the mail. He and Tucker took a humanitarian trip to Mozambique two years ago, and he finally finished the book. Some of the photos are spectacular. If you'd like a little taste of Africa this morning, Brad's book link is
here.
I have enjoyed your posts this week. They have been a good reminder to see what is around me. I loved the book. Beautiful memories and pictures :)
ReplyDeleteHEY! The red door on the bottom R is my old home (now Laura Heinz's). Well, one of many. But it was the home I lived in during high school and my family was there during my college years (and then my sister bought the home, sold it to someone, who sold it to Laura). Who knew we lived so close once upon a time? (and then I moved from 2445 E Huber St just two years ago)
ReplyDeletegood times
have a good weekend
Sorry, it's Laura Lofgreen now.
ReplyDeleteThat was fun to read Heidi's story. Reminded me of my own zany youth, lo these many years ago...
ReplyDeleteAs for Mozambique, wow! That must have been quite an experience. And the album is really neat.
Love the doors, too. And wondering what kind of people chose them...
=)
Our town has a tour coming up called the "doors of Duxbury"...I love a RED door! Maybe I'll paint mine! great photos..off to check out Brad's book!
ReplyDeleteOh red doors do just make my insides quiver a little- they are so darling. That pop of color- practically perfect in every way. Alas my door is white with glass at the top- no red doors for me.
ReplyDeleteAnd I love that you found a way to make 5 am fun- go you!
Uncanny that your post mentions doors. I am about to have mine painted BLACK after much discussion with decorating buds. I JUST learned from one such friend who attended a "yard workshop." We need a "cave" i.e., dark door to welcome people and hunker down. The "refuge" is a tree. A tree in the front yard says "welcome." Your posts ALWAYS welcome us!!!! :)
ReplyDeleteStill love the red door on my old house! That was one of the most fun projects I did.
ReplyDeleteLoved Brad's book, I can't believe its been 2 years.
My house looks so much cooler through your pictures! I almost didn't realize that on of them was my own door until closer inspection! Ha! Oh and I love the red doors!
ReplyDeleteI'm pretty sure that my door says 'this lady can't get around to painting me' because when we moved here years ago, the first thing I wanted to do was change the door colour - which remains the same to this day!
ReplyDeleteLove the pictures! My front door has almost always been red. I wonder what that means...
ReplyDeleteI'm off to look at Brad's book. Sounds wonderful!
