Just for the record, no one knocked it out of the park this week.
Antonio had it the easiest. I mean, how hard is it to design a room for a five-year-old? Maybe it's because I have one, but seriously!
The other four were kinda lame, including Lonnie's.
But my question to you is this:
Why is Genevieve so mean? It's almost like she wants to show them that she's the professional, and they're way below her. It's getting kinda old. Plus, of the three judges, her show is the least innovative and interesting, so she should have the least to say, right? But that always seems to be Candice, whom I LOVE and wish she made more comments.
I'd love to see less of the room ideas and more of the judges' takes on them.
Who will win? They are all rooting for Antonio, that's obvious. But he couldn't host a show intelligibly if he tried. Tony Soprano is NOT a designer. Dan really flubbed it this week, and from the looks of it, does so again next week.
I think I'd still like to see Dan win, but the guest appearance of David Bromstadt this week made one thing clear:
Epiphany #89--None of these designers will have a show like Colorsplash.
What a bummer.

I watched this (for only the 2nd time) and I have to agree, I couldn't believe they gave him a 5 year old. And then I thought they might give him a little grief that it's not a room that can grow with him, as soon as he's into Superman instead of dinosaurs they'll need a makeover. Fun show, and it's almost over...figures!
ReplyDeleteHaven't watched this weeks. However, I think Dan is the only one who SHOULD win. His deconstructed "orchard" room was the single most beautiful and coolest thing I've ever seen done. Finally, I ADORE David Bromstad and his Color Splash. SO GREAT! And finally, WHAT ever happened to the chick who won the last Design Star. She has never got a show, and frankly, she shouldn't. I didn't like her. Ok, that's all.
