Just had to post and tell you how heartwarming it was to see that all y'all are human. And honest to boot! Hugs to you all.
I was happy to see that I'm not the only one that forgets to read the scriptures every day. Or gets too busy. Or a kid barfs during the regularly scheduled time and you never get back to it. Or you oversleep. Or you're too sleepy. Or you left your scriptures in the car from church. Or . . . . whatever it may have been. As women, we have this overinflated idea that everyone else is doing everything right, and we're the only ones that occasionally mess up. Thanks for admitting your humanity. It buoyed my bedridden spirit.
My procedure is scheduled for 7 am tomorrow. Check-in at the hospital at 5. Ugh. But hopefully, nothing out of the ordinary, a few more days of rest, then I can get back to a few of my regular duties. (Maybe not all of them!)
Epiphany #71--Everyone tries to study. Life just sometimes interferes. And that's ok!
Amen! That's all there is to say to that. We all think everyone else has it all together and we're the only losers. Nice to know we ALL have fatal flaws. BEST of luck with the "procedure", here's hoping you're back on your feet in no time. Oh, and sorry I failed to mention the dear, well AND wheelbarrow. I told you though, it's a beaut!!
ReplyDeleteSo true, we are all doing the best we can, and we're all sure everyone else is doing so much better. Every sister I asked told me they weren't very good, what's up with that?
ReplyDeleteIt's so good to hear you finally get to have the long awaited "procedure" (can't remember how to spell it!) Soon you'll be up more than you are horizontal!
How did the kids like the carnival this year-any feedback?
Good luck tomorrow. It was good to see you today. You always have such a happy countenance. Thanks for being such a good example.
ReplyDeleteWe are lucky if we read about 5 verses together as a family before the troops head off to school.
ReplyDeleteI'm very cyclical with my scripture reading. Sometimes I'll read perfectly for months and then miss entirely for a full week or so when I get busy.
ReplyDeleteOne thing's for sure. Things always go better when I am reading regularly. (And I am eventually humbled back into that regimen...)
=)
Thank you for this post! Sincerely, thank you.
ReplyDeleteYou've been in my thoughts and prayers. Hope the procedure went well!!
